Our Story
Our story begins when our founder, a GIS Engineer by profession but a woman passionate about menstrual health, identified a gap in the market for safe, convenient and organic sanitary products, that would help to promote women’s health and wellness. After doing months of research she identified the market was flooded with conventional products that are full of chemicals and that products that are safe are lacking from the Jamaican marketplace.
This left her with a passion and drive to reset what was considered the norm, by providing safe and efficient menstrual supplies and feminine care products to her fellow Jamaicans. As such, the Luna Care team was formed. Our name: ‘Luna’ symbolizes the strength of a woman and also speaks to fertility and ‘Care’, because we genuinely care about females and their period experiences.
We want females within Jamaica and the Caribbean at large to experience better reproductive health as we aim to make quality menstrual supplies accessible to all women and girls.

Did you know that a woman in her fertile life uses over 12,000 feminine products? such as pads, panty liners and tampons. That’s A LOT! Have you ever wondered what they are made of? Unfortunately for us, a lot of traditional companies are not mandated by law to disclose their full ingredients! However, Pads, Liners and Tampons should be free of Pesticides, Perfumes and Toxins- PERIOD! It is for that reason we started Luna Care because We Care.
We want to have females using products that are good for them but also good for the environment. Products that are made with womenโs health in mind. Our eco-friendly, reusable period underwear, is in line with our vision as they are free from harmful chemicals and reduce the amount of waste we dispose of monthly.
While our Pads, Liners & Tampons are crafted with 100% organic cotton inside and out and are free from bleach and other harmful chemicals. Let’s have a Sustainable Period so that we can share the future for generations to come.
